Life Skills Trainer

Job Description

This position works with the Wolens Program Services team to support individuals with intellectual disabilities to achieve independent living goals that are personally rewarding. This position assists these individuals to attain a higher level of independence through life skills training in their home or in the community. Employee’s will also assist with all aspects of supportive employment including developing job skills, on-the-job training, and forming positive relationships and connections in the community.

Team Lead/Case Manager

Team Lead/Case Manager

The Direct Care Professional Team Lead; receives oversight and direction from the HCS Residential Manager with ultimate reporting responsibility to the Director of Programs and Services. This person provides direct supervision, training and care to individuals served by CHAI programs and services in the residential support group home.

This Direct Care Position is Responsible for (but not limited to):* The operation, coordination, instruction and supervision of clients/residents in residential support homes or day services* Ensure the protection of the individuals’ rights* Assist individual clients/residents in acquiring and maintaining the self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills necessary to reside successfully in a home or a community-based setting* Promote a safe and healthy living environment* Increase the capabilities of the individual within the policies and procedures of the organization

*Shift Hours: Mon-Fri. 2pm-10pm

Development Associate

Title:            Development Associate

 

The Development Associate is responsible for supporting the work of the development department. This includes, but is not limited to, tasks for annual campaign, special events and marketing.

 

JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Responsible for researching grant and corporate giving opportunities and developing a plan to increase this source of funding. Assists with submitting proposals.
  • Helps to maintain accurate donor reports and lists.
  • Assists with planning and implementation of development communications including design and mailing of direct mail materials, email and text solicitations.
  • Supports the Director of Development and volunteer committees with special event planning and implementation. Assist with managing reservations and overseeing assigned committee work. Takes an active hands-on role in event logistics.
  • Designs digital marketing and social media templates to support and ensure the success of all fundraising endeavors.
  • Supervised by the Director of Development.

 

 

 QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of experience in development and fundraising
  • Demonstrated excellence in building relationships with volunteers and donors.
  • Strong knowledge of database management (Raiser’s Edge preferred).
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with social media platforms and digital marketing including basic graphic design.
  • Success in writing proposals and securing corporate funding and/or grants is a plus.
  • Background in event planning and implementation is a plus.

Must demonstrate extensive patience with behavioral intervention

Must be able to follow person directed plans and behavior plans

Must respect all rights of individuals served

Must be able to attend all training prior to start date
