Direct Care Professional

Job Description

This Direct Care Professional Position is Responsible for (but not limited to):

The operation, coordination, instruction and supervision of clients/residents in residential support homes or day services

Ensure the protection of the individuals’ rights

Assist individual clients/residents in acquiring and maintaining the self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills necessary to reside successfully in a home or a community-based setting

Promote a safe and healthy living environment

Increase the capabilities of the individual within the policies and procedures of the organization

Must be able to teach community living skills, basic educational skills.

Must be able to read and write legibly and turn in progress notes and other documentation without delay.

Must have experience and desire to intervene with problematic behaviors with zero violence.

Must demonstrate extensive patience with behavioral intervention

Must be able to follow person directed plans and behavior plans

Must respect all rights of individuals served

Must be able to attend all training prior to start date

Job Type: Part-time, 7 am-7 pm, 7 pm-7 am, 3 pm-11 pm
